The Schuberth SP1 Carbon Evo is a high-quality, handcrafted carbon fiber karting and motorsport helmet specifically designed to meet the latest and strictest international safety standards. This helmet builds on the success of the regular SP1 Carbon and is certified according to the current FIA 8859-2024, FIA 8878-2024, SNELL SA2025, and K2025 homologations. Thanks to these combined certifications, the helmet is extremely versatile and can be used in professional karting (from age 15) as well as in various car classes such as GT and touring cars and open formula cars.
Key features and innovations:
Schuberth Dual Locking (SDL) System: This is the biggest upgrade compared to the previous generation. The two-stage F1 visor lock ensures a symmetrical, robust closure and is easier to open without obstructing airflow. Full Carbon Shell: The outer shell is made entirely of hand-layered carbon fiber that has been cured under high pressure in an autoclave. This production process is exactly the same as that of Schuberth's Formula 1 helmets.
Exceptional Ventilation: The helmet features 12 strategically placed ventilation channels in the EPS inner shell. At a speed of 100 km/h, up to 14 liters of fresh air flow through the helmet per second.
F1-Inspired Visor: Equipped as standard with a 3 mm thick, 3D-injected visor including a high-quality Pinlock 120 anti-fog lens and integrated tear-off buttons.
Communication and Hydration Ready: Special cable channels and cutouts are incorporated into the flame-retardant Nomex® cheek pads. This makes the plug-and-play installation of intercom systems and hydration tubes very simple.
Italian Craftsmanship: Every helmet is produced in Italy in the same factory that makes helmets for top drivers. This guarantees meticulous attention to detail and high-quality production.
Sizing and weight:
The helmet weighs approximately 1.4 kg (3.08 lbs) and uses two different shell sizes to ensure an optimal fit and aerodynamics:
Small shell: XS (54) / S (55) / M (57) / L (58-59)
Large shell: L+ (60-61) / XL (62) / XXL (63)
